Data Scientist

We are currently looking for a Data Scientist who will support our product, sales, leadership, and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data.


What you'll do:

  • Develop and apply quantitative and qualitative analytic methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large data sets for specified purposes.
  • Develop predictive models that are scalable, repeatable, effective, and meet the expectations of the decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Understand user behaviors, identify repetitive and/or error prone manual human processed that can be augmented or automated.
  • Manage and optimize the processes for data intake, validation, and mining, as well as modeling, visualization, and communication deliverables.
  • Use machine learning tools to select features, create and optimize classifiers
  • Create data models and high-quality analyses for all aspects of our business to discover insights, provide actionable recommendations, and drive outcomes
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Implement custom data models, prediction systems, and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Partner with the functional leads and business stakeholders to understand the business need and context for the projects.
  • Build statistical models and analyze model results and iterate for optimization.
  • Communicate results and business impacts to stakeholders and answer questions.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Ad-hoc analysis as required to aid management decisions making and business planning.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • Knowledge of statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
  • Good applied statistical skills, including knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.
  • Problem solving aptitude with an analytical mind and great business sense
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
  • A growth mindset and a desire to make improvements
  • Strong collaboration skills across disciplines that drive change in products and teams
  • Ability to manage and contribute to multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with good interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable in a dynamic work environment where project focuses can shift
  • Ability to translate raw data into actionable insights
  • Excellent data visualization skills
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science or a closely related field.
  • 4+ years of experience with data science
  • Project management, organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • Experience with advanced analytic techniques (ex. Predictive Modeling, Customer Segmentation, Time Series Prediction, etc.)

Work Location:

This is a hybrid based position in our Atlanta Support Center with up to 10% travel required.
