POSITION OVERVIEW

Maintains existing customer base by servicing customers’ needs and servicing existing accounts and related sales to ensure that customer is aware of industry best practices. Responsible for mounting, dismounting, and repairs. This position is responsible for the safe execution of OTR/Earthmover tires.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects and diagnose service and tire problems on customer vehicles. Communicate necessary repairs and/or replacement of parts, recommend additional preventative services and helps sell services to the customer, if warranted.
• Provides excellent customer service to existing accounts by staying in touch, immediate follow-up and resolving issues
• Completes service orders; process tickets, invoices and bills out customers, verifies credit status of customer, makes billing adjustments, initiates purchase orders for parts, assist with updating information on the computer and maintains records/files for follow-up
• Operate air compressor, impact gun, hub-cab hammer and other various machines and tools
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and mechanical maintenance, and ensures vehicle registration, insurance, safety and OSHA materials and devices are up-to-date.
• Tire work (retail and/or commercial, on and off site) Mount and dismount, air pressure checks and repairs
• Active role in product and service sales
• Manage a group of customers by servicing and selling recommended products and services
• Performs fleet inspections and provides excellent customer service to existing accounts.
• Sales to existing customers to ensure needs are met.
• Able to use systems to properly document, examples: Basys and Fleet Inspection software.
• Supports company safety and operational standards and adheres to all audit requirements
• Completes all necessary training (TIA, MSHA)
• Maintains equipment to required standards.
• Demonstrates the ability to conform to DOT and Commercial Tire driving requirement.
• Meets or exceeds managements productivity goals
• Demonstrates all Commercial Service Technician 3 requirements
• Proficient with email, product knowledge (good, better, best), and retreading benefits
• Proficient with BFA2.0/Treadstat if applicable

• Basys (Telenet not MIM)
  1. NRT, Bank Reports, Casings, Snap Shots
     • Interpret NRT Report
• Responsible for training and assisting others at store to safely perform tire changes.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS – Unless indicated otherwise, these are preferred

• Valid Driver’s License and Insurable Driving Record (Required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 year of tire industry related experience (Required).
• A valid CDL driver’s license (required)
• TIA Basic Auto 200, TIA CST level 300 (Required).
• TIA Certified Earthmover (Required).
• Must have operated a service truck with boom for at least 1 year (Required).
• Regular attendance and punctuality is required and is an essential job function.
