Job Description

Fowler Construction is currently seeking experienced Construction Laborers to join our team in Illinois City, IL. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in helping us build and complete construction projects on time and within budget. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist skilled tradespeople and construction professionals in various tasks to ensure project progress
• Perform general construction duties such as installing windows, doors, kitchen cabinets, flooring, decks, building repairs, etc.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Operate hand and power tools as necessary
• Adhere to construction plans and specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with fellow workers and supervisors
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Construction experience (minimum 2 years) in a similar role
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
• Basic knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment

• Must be reliable and punctual
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
