Job Description
We are seeking a Plant Operations/Automotive to join our team! You will oversee the activities of a team of production workers.
ANYONE THAT HAS WORKED IN AN AUTOMOTIVE PLANT. NEED RESUMES/ DRIVERS LICENSE AND GED. NEEDS TO KNOW HOW TO READ A TAPE MEASURE
What we are really looking for is a candidate that understands we are a Steel Service Center. The forklift experience is nice, but it is a very small portion of what we do.
The candidate will be putting steel bands around the ID (inside diameter) of a steel coil, packaging it for safe transport to our end customer. Then moving it to our finished goods area via forklift and or overhead crane. 90% of the time will be packaging material, skidding the material which the machine will do and taking material off the machines via overhead crane.
The candidate must be able to read and write. Be able to learn how to read a tape measure and convert it to decimals. They will be using a computer to tag our finished goods which is vital.
Most of the candidates believe they are interviewing for a forklift job and that is not what we are looking for. More of a warehouse associate. Someone who can multi-task. Follow the SAFETY PLAN.
