We are seeking a new Sous Chef to join our team. Your role will be to - Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen - Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including training and scheduling - Ensure food quality and presentation meets the highest standards - Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute menu plans - Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment - Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations - Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items - Support the Head Chef in creating a positive work culture and fostering teamwork. As a member of the Rock Room Bar and Grill Team department, you will work with Executive Chef, Owner, Event Staff, Front of House Staff and report to our Executive Chef. What You Will Do: Manage food service operations or parts of operations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction. Prepare Food for Restaurant and all types of events Assist Executive Chef in maintaining adequate inventory Keep Kitchen clean and ensure all safety standards are met Assist in managing and training additional staff What You Will Bring: Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills: High School or GED Menu Planning Kitchen Management Knife Skills Culinary Arts Food Cost Management Fryer Vegetarian Cuisine Sautéing Menu Writing Dessert Making Why You'll Love Us: Buffalo Ridge Resort & Spa is a historic property that has been beautifully restored and is surrounded by mature oak trees, small-town charm, and a rich history dating back to 1899. Buffalo Ridge Resort has a full service restaurant and host many large corporate retreats and weddings. Salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year (plus bonus/commission).
