Position Title: Welder – 1st Shift
Wage: $21.63 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Are you experienced in welding? Would you like to continue to develop your skill sets with a well-known family-owned company located 20 miles south of Mason City, IA? QPS is actively recruiting for qualified candidates to fill this client’s welding roles! Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Weld components in various positions.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding, using straightedges, squares, clamps and fixtures.
- Receive instructions, blueprints, and work orders for the job.
- Examine work to check for defects.
- Record materials used, and time spent on job.
- Mig and Tig weld pieces to form product being manufactured.
- Operate forklift/crane (only after training and certification).
Welder Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 60# on occasion, team lift/crane over 60#.
- Must have previous welding experience (MIG and/or TIG)
- Prolonged Standing, Bending, Squatting for 8hr - 12 hr. shifts.
- Preform physical labor for extended periods of time.
- Work in hot-cold environments (50 degrees - 100 degree) weather depending on the season.
- Candidates must have a proven track record of several years of solid work history. Please include details of your work experience on your resume.
- Must have previous welding experience (MIG and/or TIG)
- Great attention to detail.
- Read a tape measure.
- Attendance is CRITICAL.
