Caregiver (Part time & Full Time)

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed and ensure proper documentation
- Assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning residents as needed
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a safe and supportive environment
- Prepare and serve meals to residents based on their dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents
- Respect and uphold resident rights and confidentiality
- Collaborate with social work professionals to address the social and emotional needs of residents

Skills:

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Experience or knowledge in behavior management techniques
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
- Basic understanding of meal preparation and nutrition principles
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders is a plus
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization in resident living areas
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure resident privacy and confidentiality
