Job Summary

• Under direction and supervision of the Operating Room Nurse Manager is continuously responsible for providing technical surgical care to patients in support of care as directed by the physician and in accordance with established hospital goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
• Directly responsible for providing specified services for surgical patients under direction and supervision of Operating Room Nurse Manager
• Responsible for acting in capacity as directed by Director, Operating Room Nurse Manager and/or Lead Surgical Technician.

Education and/or Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Preferred graduate of a Surgical Technologist degree program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (AAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).  
• Surgical practice training, i.e., CST program, surgical assistant program or equivalent preferred. 
• Experience of one or more years as scrub member of surgical team is preferred.
• Certification is highly preferred, but not required.

Work Schedule

• Day shift; 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
  • Every 5th - 6th weekend
  • On call every 5 - 6 holiday
  • On call 1 night a week

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
