Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Santa Ynez, CA. Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with special needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs and goals.
  • Differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a sense of belonging and encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Utilize appropriate assistive technologies and resources to support student learning and communication.
  • Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure a collaborative and cohesive approach to student support.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing ongoing feedback and implementing interventions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Teaching Credential with Special Education authorization.
  • Experience working with students with mild/moderate and moderate/severe disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
