Occupational Therapist (OT) - 23/24 School Year
Location:Gonzales, CA.
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the 23/24 School Year. As an OT, you will play a vital role in promoting the independence and functional abilities of our students. This is a rewarding full-time position located near Gonzales, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual perception, and self-care abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, to improve their functional abilities and achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy techniques into the students' daily routines and educational activities.
- Document and track student progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate findings to the relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings, multidisciplinary evaluations, and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.
- Previous experience working with children or in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sensory integration techniques, fine motor development, and assistive technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
