Role and Responsibilities:

CW is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team at one of our Commissaries, a Military Grocery Store. In this role, you will work closely under the direction of the Project Manager to ensure the efficient and effective preparation of the store for daily operations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of service and ensuring compliance with military base access requirements.

  • Oversee a diverse workforce, including individuals with disabilities, to ensure a productive and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor to plan daily work schedules, ensuring efficient task allocation.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of performance standards for all employees, maintaining a high level of work quality.
  • Share responsibility with the Supervisor for ensuring the timely completion of all daily tasks, meeting specified quality standards, and staying within budget limits.
  • Monitor the use of supplies and equipment, promptly requesting additional supplies as needed to maintain operations.
  • Conduct comprehensive training sessions for program participants/employees, covering building orientation, work techniques, equipment operation, safety practices, and supply usage and conservation.
  • Orient all program participants/employees on facility rules and regulations, as well as company policies, to ensure a compliant and safe work environment.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the contract's statement of work and ensure strict adherence to performance standards.
  • Assist in maintaining employee attendance records and computing timecards as required.
  • Engage in daily communication with Commissary personnel to identify and address problems and concerns, striving for effective solutions and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including quality control reports, case counts, task completion reports, employee warnings, performance evaluations, supply inventories, time studies/performance measurements, etc.
  • Maintain passing scores on all evaluations and inspections conducted by Facility and company personnel.
  • Be willing to assist in various tasks during scheduled hours and on weekends as requested by the Supervisor, fostering a collaborative team spirit.
  • Adhere to company policies and uphold a culture of professionalism and integrity at all times.
  • Review contract terms and conditions, monitor submittals, track material deliveries, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Maintain positive client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma and/or GED.
  • Some college education (OR) associate degree in project management, Business Administration, or related fields. (Preferred)
  • Minimum of One (1) year experience in a managerial and/or supervisory role in a related field.
  • Minimum of One (1) year experience in the food industry.
  • Knowledge regarding OSHA Regulations.
  • Ability to work directly with disabled individuals.
