Pay Range: $20/hr - $35/hr (Depending on Experience)

Location: Dyersburg, TN

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: Shift is 6pm- 6:30am

2-2-3 schedule

Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days

Job Category: Manufacturing and Safety

This position demonstrates mastery in repair and maintaining of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and some electrical components of production machines and equipment such as metal fabricating machine tools, material handling systems and automated lubrication systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors and tests equipment to identify, diagnose and repair malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of central systems.

• Repairs and rebuilds mechanical and electrical components of manufacturing equipment.

• Inspect machines for defects, accuracy, and operation.

• Collaborates with engineering department.

• Monitors and tracks tool crib inventory usage ensuring tools or equipment are correctly checked out and returned following use. This includes reporting issues identified.

• Demonstrates understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC), and demonstrates the ability to use PLC to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Initiates and performs replacement of components to increase machining capability and reliability.

• Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.

• Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

• Removes and replaces work or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic or pneumatic system.

• Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches.

• Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair and confirms product as good per the quality standard for the machine/operation.

• Operates and sets computer/controlled motion robot.

• Ability to identify problem areas and write Preventative Maintenance Procedures to reduce downtime.

• Follow Ladder Logic to troubleshoot, confirm sensors, set timers, and update documentation.

• Able to pull prints, identify and request components.

• Complies with all Safety and Lockout/Tagout Procedures.

• Responsible for the proper handling and disposal of any substance or material used in the course of their duties described.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

This job requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent 4 to 6 years of position-related experience; the preferred formal education is a Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree and 6 to 8 years of position-related experience.
