School Lunch Monitor--Part Time

FSLA STATUS: Non-Exempt

HOURS: Monday-Friday 11:30am-1:30pm

JOB GOALS: Ensure that the cafeteria is safe, efficient and pleasant environment for students

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the cafeteria is ready for students
• Keep an adequate inventory of supplies
• Keep the cafeteria clean and safe
• Clean tables, counters, coolers and floors
• Actively circulate among students in order to maintain a respectful and orderly environment.
• Always be respectful of students
• Assist students when necessary
• Is observant and vigilant while supervising students in the cafeteria and playground during lunch and recess.
• Communicates well with adults and children
• Works collegially with others
• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and make good decisions
• Must be on time for work on a daily basis
• Ability to work independently
