Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Teacher- Keys for Kids

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

STATUS: Full- Time

PURPOSE:

The Assistant Teacher for Keys for Kids is responsible for providing educational services to children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. This includes providing an inclusive and developmental friendly environment for all children in the classroom.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Create a warm and friendly environment for all children’s needs.
2. Assist with creating and implementing curriculum that promotes child development.
3. Observe and document child growth and development.
4. Abide by program philosophies and encourage parent engagement.
5. Serve as a positive influence through behaviors, attitudes, and actions.
6. Maintain great communication and professional relationships with clients, family members and co-workers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be at least 21 years of age to work with infants.
2. Must have a CDA, an equivalent of a CDA (12 credit hours in ECE), or be able to obtain a CDA within two years of employment.
