EHS Supervisor

West Contract Recruiting, LLC is a leading staffing and recruiting agency that specializes in connecting top talent with reputable companies across various industries. We are currently seeking an EHS Supervisor for our client, a manufacturing company located in Falconer, NY.

Position Summary

The EHS Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety for the company's facility in Falconer, NY. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, conducting safety training, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and personal protective equipment
• Investigate accidents and near-misses and develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents
• Maintain and update safety records and reports as required by local, state, and federal agencies
• Work closely with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Stay current on all relevant safety regulations and industry best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety role, or more than 2 years EHS technician-related experience in a manufacturing environment required. Participate, as a hands-on, industrial leader in a union industrial manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
