Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Instructor to join our Education team. The Instructor will be responsible for identifying, coordinating, and facilitating all EWN Instructor-led Trainings (ILTs), both internal and external. This role involves collaborating with managers to identify training needs, developing ILT plans, and ensuring engaging and effective training sessions. The Instructor will also train designated EWN employees to facilitate ILTs for other employees and clients.
Essential Job Functions:
- Map out annual training plans and schedules for ILT classes, and market available training to employees, providing necessary information about sessions.
- Select appropriate training methods (e.g., simulations, mentoring, professional development classes) based on education principles and stay updated on new techniques.
- Teach ILT classes or workshops (internal and external) and host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts.
- Maintain training facilities, equipment, educational materials, and curriculum database.
- Research and recommend new training methods and technologies, such as gamification, and partner with stakeholders on implementation.
- Train, evaluate, and mentor other trainers for continuous improvement.
- Gather feedback from sessions to assess effectiveness and maintain documentation requirements.
- Process student test data and maintain IACET documentation requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced techniques of instructing various materials
- Instructional design theory and implementation
- Classroom management and presentation techniques
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Decision-making and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications
- Ability to collaborate, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Trainer (Experience may be in MECP, MTDP, IDDP, E3, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, etc) or proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role
- Two (2) years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a proficient level
- Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Training, Human Resources, or related field
- Hands-on experience coordinating training events
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Experience with the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) accreditation and requirements
- Industry experience in oil, gas, or energy, or SaaS business models
Job Specifications:
- FLSA Classification: Exempt
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Travel Requirement: Up to 50%
- Work Schedule: 7am–5pm, M-F (various shifts)
- Work Environment: available for discussion: in-office, remote, or hybrid; Office or offsite training facilities
- Physical/Mental Requirements: Ability to meet productivity standards, sit for prolonged periods, perform repetitive hand motions, lift up to 15 pounds, and communicate effectively.
