Qualifications


  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with an active nursing license in the state hired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Essential functions/areas of accountability


  • Patient Care: Provide skilled nursing care under the direction of registered nurses and physicians. Administer medications, perform wound care, conduct health assessments, and assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Contribute valuable insights to interdisciplinary care meetings and assist in developing and revising care plans.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication administration, treatment procedures, and vital signs. Adhere to regulatory standards and agency protocols for accurate documentation.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and caregivers, providing clear instructions and updates on treatment plans and progress. Serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team.
  • Assessment and Observation: Monitor patients' health status and report any significant changes to the supervising RN or physician promptly. Utilize keen observation skills to identify potential issues and collaborate on appropriate interventions.
  • Assistive Procedures: Perform various clinical procedures, including wound dressing changes, catheter insertion, specimen collection, and more, adhering to best practices and infection control protocols.
  • Professionalism: Uphold the ethical and professional standards of nursing practice, ensuring patient confidentiality, and treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
