JOB SUMMARY

The Front of House Assistant will be assisting with providing exceptional and anticipatory service in hospitality by collaborating with the culinary department to create a memorable and exceptional guest experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Assist with the set-up, breakdown, cleaning of tables, chairs and food stations for all functions or events
  • Responsible for reviewing all event orders prior to function
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and flatware prior to use
  • Assist in stocking linen, china, flatware, glassware and supplies for all outside events and in homes ensuring supplies are in good condition
  • Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function or event
  • Maintain knowledge of each menu selection's origin, taste, and preparation method
  • Communicate special needs or requests to the Front of House Captain
  • Deliver food and beverage items from staging area to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns or requests
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of all service areas
  • Offer guests an enjoyable, expertly served beverage and dining experience
  • Be familiar with the beverage/wine list including stemware used and appropriate garnishes
  • Responsible for stocking and restocking of food and beverage in all homes and events
  • Assist with all grocery deliveries for all homes
  • Deliver food/meals to different locations on the property as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have at least 1 year of food and beverage experience in fine dining or a luxury environment
  • Excellent communication skills, reading, writing, and speaking and customer service skills
  • Must have the ability to multitask and be organized
  • Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and follow instructions
  • TB Clearance Card required
  • Valid Driver license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Handling of food, objects, products, china, flatware and stemware
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 lbs with assistance and object weighing in excess of 50 lbs with assistance
  • Must be able to stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift
  • Requires flexibility to work variable days and shifts (AM, PM), weekends and holidays
  • Ability to drive a Utility vehicle
  • Ability to drive company vehicles

Salary Range
$32—$35 USD
