Job Description

  • Preparing analytical standards and reagents 
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments 
  • Calculating results using Excel spreadsheets and/or instrumental software 
  • Conducting wet-chemistry
  • Performing assays such as ELISA, monoclonal antibodies (mABs), Western Blot, electrophoresis (such as SDS-PAGE), chromatography 
  • Instrumental analytical chemistry analysis on in-process, final batch concentrate (FBC), monovalent bulk concentrate (MBC) sample types.  
  • Preparing analytical standards and reagents
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Calculating results using Excel spreadsheets and/or instrumental software
  • Documenting results in electronic laboratory notebooks and reviewing notebooks of peers
  • Supporting senior analytical chemists on various projects as assigned
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2-4 years of related lab experience, OR:
  • Master's Degree plus 0-2 years of industry experience  
    • Major in: Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific major
  • 2-4 years of hands-on lab experience performing any of the following techniques: 
    • ELISA
    • mAbs (monoclonal antibodies)
    • Western Blot
    • SDS-PAGE
    • HPLC
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Valid driver’s license and personal transportation


Additional Information

  • Position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with some variation as needed. 
  • Lifting:  May include occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Work will be conducted in both lab and office facilities.
  • Work environment: The person filling this position works in a BSL-2 laboratory.  There may be exposure to animal pathogens, chemicals, and bio hazardous materials.  Lab safety training is required for this position.
