Salary: $19-24 Hr DOE

Dependable Staffing Agency is looking to hire compassionate, competent, and dedicated MAs to fill the needs of our California community. Our focus is to provide fully trained and qualified health professionals to meet high-quality staffing needs at hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, adult family homes, adult day care centers, and state corrections facilities. These are immediate openings with both full-time and part-time shifts available.  If you have a desire to make a difference in your field with your knowledge, skills, and service, you are in the right. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):


  1. Twelve (12) continuous months of experience
  2. Current and valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California, to practice as a Medical Assistant
  3.  Possess Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider or
    American Red Cross (with AED);
  4. Be proficient in the English language and be able to communicate effectively


Job Requirements:


The Temporary/Relief Medical Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clinical duties, which includes procedures as regulated by certification such as, but not limited to, the following:

  1. Administer basic life support in emergencies to patient/youth and staff;
  2. Use medical equipment safely;
  3. Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections and skin tests;
  4. Administer eye/ear washes;
  5. Administer prescribed medications topically, sublingually, and orally;
  6. Administer basic breathing treatments;
  7. Remove casts, splints, sutures, and other external devices;
  8. Change simple dressing;
  9. Collect blood via capillary and venipuncture techniques;
  10. Collect lab specimens using appropriate collection equipment; label specimens appropriately for evaluation;
  11. Other duties as assigned per job description
