Seed Plant Operations

Birdsall Grain & Seed, LLC family owned and operated, successful and growing seed and agronomy retailer has a opening for a position at our seed and agronomy center. You will assist patrons in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the company. You must have a pleasant attitude, be helpful, and customer focused. The right person has room for advancement with long term employment.

You must be able to work extended hours during the months of March - October

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with buying bulk fertilizer, chemicals and seed
• Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner.
• Delivers products and services to customers in a prompt, courteous, and reliable manner.
• Operate forklift to load out chemical, seed or fertilizer to customers.
• Assist in loading/unloading of dry/liquid fertilizer
• Assists in maintenance and cleanliness of facility, equipment and grounds.
• Assists in weighing, grading, loading seed.
• Assists in maintenance of the facility and equipment.
• Assists in keeping facility clean and neat.
• Operates all machinery and equipment as required.
• Assist location personnel with the loading and unloading of trucks.
• Blend and Load Agronomy Products
• Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed or other to customer site
• Perform warehouse work to include: skid steer, forklift, mechanics and maintenance.
• Complete All required record keeping
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Training Provided:

• Crop protection product mixing
• Operation of application equipment
• Operation of location facilities

Basic Qualifications: (required)

• High School diploma or GED
• CDL license or ability to attain one
• Ability to lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, stairs and bins
• Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, and augers
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
• Ability to work long hours to meet business demands
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Qualifications: (desired)

• Farming background
• Grain/Seed Handling experience
