Manufacturer Production Coordinator

Our company is looking for a hands-on Production Coordinator for our headquarters in Chicago area. The Production Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day manufacturing operations of approximately 30 production employees. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Leads production efforts to promote a safe workplace. Follows OSHA regulations.
• Plans and manages workflow such that products are manufactured within delivery expectations. Spends 90%-100% of time on production floor.
• Lead meetings with employees as required; and perform other duties as assigned.
• Works closely with employees to ensure that staff is meeting quality expectations.
• Serves as a point person for production employees to provide training, assist with quality control, help with production processes, and keep machines functioning.
• Is proficient using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and Microsoft Office.
• Develops information and compiles reports concerning scheduling, production goals, equipment and maintenance problems, and other studies or reports as requested.
• Advises management on matters relating to daily operations and makes recommendations for improvements when feasible.
• Prepares work schedules and hours, assigns specific duties, and fosters a well-trained and motivated staff. Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
• Oversees maintenance and upkeep of machinery, tools, and equipment.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of manufacturing experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Must have experience working with machinery or have strong positive aptitude. Able to coach and mentor, and has professional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Demonstrates a strong work ethic with a commitment to Company success.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: starting $70,000.00 measurable as per experience
