Job Summary:
The Light Maintenance Technician at Briggs Automotive Group in Topeka, Kansas is a full-time, individual contributor role in the automotive industry. As part of a skilled labor team, the technician will be responsible for performing light maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring that they are in proper working condition and meet safety standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for cars and a desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and train to be eventually a certified Subaru Mechanic. Please have experience in items like brake repair, fluid services,  light engine repair and others.

Compensation & Benefits:
The Light Maintenance Technician will be compensated at a rate of $18 to $25 per hour. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks on vehicles
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues or areas in need of repair
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems with vehicles and perform necessary repairs
- Keep accurate records of all work performed and document any additional repairs needed
- Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service, answering any questions and addressing any concerns
- Keep work area clean and organized, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations and guidelines

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or degree from a vocational/technical school in automotive technology is preferred
- At least 1-2 years of experience working as a light maintenance technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems, as well as mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings, as needed
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
