Salary:

Come join our team at Frye Rural Health Clinic located in Magnolia, MS.  Our services are expanding, including newly added mental health services.  The RHC provides primary care/family medicine, acute and chronic disease management, preventative care, DOT physicals, vaccinations, and laboratory services.  


Clinic hours are M-F 8AM-5PM.  Position hours estimated 40 hours a week.


Job Information:

The Medical Biller, or Insurance Billing Specialist, is responsible for organizing patient medical costs and sending invoices to collect payment from patients and their insurers. Their duties include calling patients to discuss payment and develop reasonable payment plans, entering patient data into administrative systems and recording information about outstanding claims.  Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform posting charges
• Perform completion of claims to payers
• Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion
• Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers
• Process claims
• Resolve denial instances
• Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided
• Deploy, maintain and report on various programs
• Do Medicare reviews
• Conduct audits


Requirements: 

• Effective communication skills
• Basic computer skills, such as sending emails, typing, and using spreadsheets
• Interact with clients and patients
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Work independently
• Collaborate well with others
• Multitask


Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher
• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in medical billing or any coding industry
• Proficient in electronic medical records
