Hello, Lincoln County Care Center in Shoshone, ID is actively looking to hire a Charismatic full-time Activities Director/Medical Records Clerk.

Job Description:

The Activities Supervisor is responsible for the creation and execution of a therapeutic activities program for the geriatric residents. This program must be designed to meet the interests and needs of each resident, to help build their functional abilities.

  • Develops and provides individual, group, and bedside activities for residents that reflect the needs/interests of residents. Activities may take place in a variety of locations, and will include special and seasonal events.
  • Develops and posts monthly activities calendar.
  • Interviews residents, interested family members, legal representatives, and significant others to obtain and update information needed to develop individualized activities programs, to accommodate individual needs, preferences, and to protect and promote residents' rights.
  • Participates in the development of the department budget and provides relevant financial information to the Administrator regarding department financial needs and status.
  • Hires and retains qualified competent activity staff and volunteers.
  • Adapts activities to match the cognitive and physical functional levels of the residents using task segmentation, verbal prompts, set-up assistance, physical assists, and demonstrations
  • Maintains/cleans activity equipment and supplies. Maintains activity space in a clean, orderly manner.
  • Drives facility van's for outings with residents

Medical Records Clerk is responsible for the record keeping procedures and storage of all clinical records in a manner consistent with facility policies and procedures along with laws and regulations

  • Manages medical records in facility
  • Reviews medical records for accuracy, scan and upload all relevant medical documantation.
  • Decelops and preforms specialized audits on a predetermined schedule
  • Oversees and audits all current resident charts, notate deficiencies and assists in corrections.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Therapeutic Recreation Technician (TRT) is highly desired, but not required.
  • Reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must be between the age of 25-70
  • Must have a valid drivers license in good standing and a clean driving record.
  • Experience with computer data entry
  • Some prior nursing home experience preferred
  • Love for the geriatric population!
