TILITY (SEWER) TECHNICIAN/CLASS II

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT UTILITY (SEWER) TECHNICIAN/CLASS II Cumru Township will accept applications from interested persons for the full-time position of Utility (Sewer) Technician (Class 2) until 4:00 p.m., prevailing time, Friday, April 26, 2024. The successful applicant will possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license CDL Class B without air brake restriction and with tanker endorsement, and maintain same as a condition of continued employment. CDL training available to qualified candidates; must be attained within 5 months of employment. All applicants must document the following, minimum levels of experience/training: • High school diploma or GED; • Comprehensive knowledge and experience operating light/heavy trucks and equipment, including in adverse conditions; • Comprehensive knowledge and experience operating equipment and tools used in the maintenance of a sanitary sewer collection system; • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in occupational hazards and safety precautions of such trucks and equipment. Township offices are closed daily from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. No candidates will be considered who have failed to submit and complete the required Township application.
