CDL Driver - Pavement Marking

We are currently seeking experienced CDL Drivers to join our Pavement Marking team at our work sites in the Bluffdale, UT area. Our Pavement Marking General Laborers support the pavement function which will entail site set up and clean up, site layout and barrier, cone, traffic control materials, preparing machinery, loading and unloading the truck, and operating paint trucks.

The starting pay is $28.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience and endorsements Must have a valid CDL and a good driving record, prefer with a Hazmat endorsement for Epoxy

The job functions are not just driving but working with a team to successfully paint or stripe the highways and roadways. We will train you for your duties. In this position you will work overtime, nights, and weekends as required

What You'll Do:

• Support all pavement functions and duties at job sites based on the site plan and/or contractor directions
• Implement striping plans and perform needed layout including intersections markings
• Assist with the operations of Striping and Epoxy trucks, as well as other paint trucks
• Operate and maintain paint trucks
• Communicate with contractors and relate specific customer/job changes and other information to Supervisor, Project Manager, office staff, or others

What We Need from You:

• Must have a valid CDL B driver’s license and a good driving record. A CDL class A is a plus.
• Must have 2 years of driving experience
• HAZMAT certification is required for an Epoxy Truck CDL Driver
• HAZMAT Certification is not required for a Grinder Truck Driver
• Prior experience working operating Striping or Epoxy trucks, is a plus
• Be able to successfully complete a company-sponsored Defensive Driver training
• Must be or be able to obtain ATSSA Pavement Marking Tech Certification(if state requires)
• Must be able to drive, sit, and stand for extended periods of time and in a variety of weather conditions
• Comfortable being regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving equipment, and machinery parts, and working around moving traffic, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate / loud noise levels
• Ability to lift / move more than 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and DOT drug screen
