Job Description
Are you a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Occupational Therapist in Owosso, Michigan. As a member of our educational munity, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' physical, emotional, and cognitive development, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' specific needs and develop individualized treatment plans to address their unique challenges.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-help skills, and other relevant areas.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create a prehensive support system for students with special needs.
- Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and utilize adaptive equipment to enhance students' participation and engagement in educational activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings as an integral team member.
- Offer training and support to teachers and staff in implementing strategies to facilitate students' skill development within the classroom setting.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a passion for helping students succeed.
