Are you a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Occupational Therapist in Owosso, Michigan. As a member of our educational munity, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' physical, emotional, and cognitive development, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

Details:

  1. Flexible schedule: 4 days per week
  2. 7/17/24- 10/31/2024
  3. Birth- Three caseload
  4. petitive hourly rate and pensation package

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct assessments to identify students' specific needs and develop individualized treatment plans to address their unique challenges.
  2. Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-help skills, and other relevant areas.
  3. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create a prehensive support system for students with special needs.
  4. Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
  5. Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and utilize adaptive equipment to enhance students' participation and engagement in educational activities.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings as an integral team member.
  7. Offer training and support to teachers and staff in implementing strategies to facilitate students' skill development within the classroom setting.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  2. Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan.
  3. Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  4. Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
  5. Strong munication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a passion for helping students succeed.
