Responsibilities:

Position Overview:

The Pharmacy Operations Manager - OVCH assists the Director of Inpatient Pharmacy and Compliance in running and maintaining the pharmacy and pharmacy programs, as well as supervising the pharmacy staff and providing clinical pharmacy oversight. The Pharmacy Operations Manager, in conjunction with the Director of Inpatient Pharmacy and Compliance, will strive to deliver quality pharmacy services, collaborating with physicians and staff to improve the health of patients. The Pharmacy Operations Manager will work in concert with the Inpatient Pharmacy Management Team to support the safe, efficient, and compliant provision of pharmacy services.



Qualifications:

Required:

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree
  • Current CA Pharmacist license
  • Current PIC certification issued from the CA Board of Pharmacy

Preferred:

  • Pharmacy Residency
  • Completion of practice-relevant Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification, e.g., Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) or Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP)
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Previous supervisory, PIC, and/or acute care hospital pharmacy experience
  • Sterile compounding experience
