Assembly Technician

Protect Controls is a leading manufacturer of power distribution buildings/electrical enclosures in Conroe, Texas. We are currently looking for Assembly Techs for the day shifts.

Assembly techs are an essential part to our manufacturing process. They are responsible for ensuring all our buildings meet customer specifications and are held up to PCI quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install metal wall and roof panels
• Mount insulation into walls and roof of buildings
• Move and stage materials
• Read blueprints
• Assist in basic housekeeping
• Operate basic hand and power tools
• Correctly read tape measure to cut materials to customer specs
• Recognize and report hazards/ Apply safe work methods
• Operate a fork lift as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 year of related experience is preferred
• Ability to stand for long hours
• Available to work regular scheduled hours and additional as needed
• Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders and saws
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Must be able to read and interpret written and/or oral instructions
• Must be able to safely move and relocate heavy objects
• Must be able to work at heights exceeding 6'
