Training Coordinator

The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine (CFWH) provides management and consulting services to healthcare providers in the area of wound care and hyperbaric medicine. By focusing on the needs of the patients as well as the partners we serve, The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine is able to bring advanced wound healing strategies to many communities around the country.

Job Overview at Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine LLC:

Reporting to the HR & Training Manager, the Training Coordinator is responsible for the complete coordination and oversight of new employee training, maintaining the Training Library in ADP, administering employee surveys and training courses as directed, assisting with the Training and New Hire Grant Program, managing 90-Day reviews in ADP, and supporting the human resources department with projects as they relate to staff retention and turnover. This is a remote position.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with the appropriate management team for each new hire to create, customize and coordinate the new employee Training Plan for that position.
  • Assembles all of the tools a new hire will need to be prepared and successful (i.e. printed training guide, electronic training modules, documents for Day 1, training laptop, password sheet, etc.).
  • Assist managers with set up of new employee’s hospital IT access, badge approval, and online training modules, as needed..
  • Ensures that the Training Plan is executed upon as outlined during the new hire’s first 90 days; adjust accordingly if needed.
  • Conducts Day 1 virtual orientation, training and technology set up, if/as needed.
  • Conducts new employee check-ins with both the manager and the employee through the first 90 days. Coordinates additional training with manager and/or other departments as needed.
  • Administers 90-Day Training Survey. Communicates responses with human resources, department managers and other trainers as required.
  • Collects all “new hire” paperwork that is to be saved in the employee’s personnel file (i.e. safety quizzes, checklists, 90-Day Competencies, Training Plan, 90-Day Review, etc.)
  • Ensures training material in the new hire’s printed binder and the ADP modules is current/correct.
  • Responsible for the overall training experience of a new employee as it relates to communication, coordination, follow-up, feedback, etc. Implement ideas to improve the new employee experience.
  • Maintain the electronic training library in ADP to ensure documents are updated and organized. Responsible for adding in new documents as needed.
  • Administer employee surveys in Survey Monkey as required.
  • Assign training modules through ADP as requested.
  • Assist HR & Training Manager with purchasing training courses and creating Training Agreements as directed. Keeps current on clinical pathways for various certifications.
  • Assist HR & Training Manager with oversight of the Training and New Hire Grant Program, by state, on-going/annually. This includes, strategy, course assignments and approval, collection of certifications, and reimbursement submissions and payments.
  • Manage all 90-Day reviews in ADP to ensure reviews are not only completed on time, but that new goals are created at the time of the review.
  • Support the human resources department with retention and turnover initiatives, such as, Employee Newsletter, Employee Parties, Wellness Calendar, Employee Contests, etc.
  • Support all managers with training initiatives, such as proof reading new training material, delivery of new training material to staff, tracking completion of assigned training, etc.
  • Discuss identified training needs with HR & Training Manager to determine who should be notified to create or update content.
  • If applicable and under extenuating circumstances, provide clinical and/or administrative support on-site at a wound center.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications for This Role Include:

  • Associate degree in training & development, human resources, nursing or related field, preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a trainer required; training of new staff/co-workers is acceptable.
  • 2+ years working in the healthcare industry required.
  • Clinical certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Technically savvy to learn/navigate several different programs (ADP, LMS, Teams, Survey Monkey, Canva, Video Recordings, etc.)
  • Positive background check, negative drug screen, and hospital credentials (as needed) required.

Travel:

  • This position requires frequent travel up to 25% of the employee’s time.

Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by a Training Coordinator to successfully perform the essential competencies, duties, and requirements of this position. These include standing, walking, driving, air travel, lifting up to 50 pounds and sitting for extended periods of time. In addition, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting and shifting heavy objects may be required. Employees should ask for assistance if needed.
