Electrical Prep

Protect Controls is a leading manufacturer of power control buildings in Conroe, Texas. We are currently looking to fill positions in our Electrical Prep department .

These positions are responsible for assisting the Electricians and ensuring that every building that is shipped out is held up to the quality standards of Protect Controls. Job duties might include the following:

• Install wire ways, cable trays, and conduit as directed by the Electricians in accordance with design packages and electrical code.
• Assemble, install, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures using hand tools or power tools.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, hand tools and power tools.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.
• Install Switchgear doors
• Install Bulkhead cover plates
• Install Personal Doors and apply signage
• Hang HVAC units
• Bends/ fills conduit when required
• Reads/Interprets designs and drawings
• Recognize and report hazards/ Apply safe work methods
• Operate a fork lift as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 years of related experience is preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders and saws
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Must be able to read and interpret written and/or oral instructions
