POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join the fast-growing FirstCall Mechanical Team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, work well in a team environment, have a high level of customer service and have strong attention to detail.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues in commercial settings with a focus on precision and efficiency.
- Provide timely and effective solutions for leaks, clogs, pipe damage, and other plumbing-related problems
- Collaborate with construction team to plan and implement plumbing systems in new commercial construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate installation of pipes, fixtures and plumbing systems
- Install and maintain plumbing systems in new construction projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues and address them proactively
- Communicate with clients to understand their plumbing needs, providing detailed explanations of proposed services and estimated costs
- Educate clients on maintenance practices and recommend solutions for long-term plumbing system health
- Work closely with other construction professionals, including contractors and project managers, to coordinate plumbing installations in new construction projects
- Collaborate with service teams to ensure seamless execution of plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks
- Maintain high standards of workmanship in both service and new construction projects, ensuring all plumbing systems meet quality and safety requirements
- Stay updated on plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance in both service and new construction activities
- Provide prompt and effective responses to emergency plumbing situations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in service and construction environments
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or another type of formal plumbing training
- Ability to use a wide variety of plumbing tools and techniques
- All state and federal-mandated license required to practice
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Work cooperatively with others
- Willingness to respond to emergency plumbing situations at odd hours

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position reports to the local service manager, and has a responsibility to the entire service team and sales team.

Environmental Requirements
Will be required to work in a field environment, traveling to multiple customer sites on a daily basis.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job:

The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
