Summary: The Accounting Clerk for Client Funds Management is a 20 hour per week position which performs a variety of administrative, bookkeeping and banking assignments to assist in maintaining the client funds management system (RFMS). Responsibilities may include filing, mail, copying, data entry, banking and other general administrative processes to assist in the overall RFMS functions. This position may also assist in clerical functions related to the Accounts Payable function.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (20 hours, flexible)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Code and data enter approved vendor invoices and check requests for individuals and outside vendors.
  2. Monitor the timely collection of receipts from the programs.
  3. Monitor the collection of monthly financial packets for RFMS individuals, from the programs.
  4. Assist with random auditing of financial documents submitted by programs.
  5. Prepare and make the deposit of benefit checks in database and take to the bank.
  6. Collect and review invoices and/or documentation for check
  7. Interface with online banking for positive pay exceptions, submit positive pay reports, issue stop payments, and/or review of check(s) status.
  8. Assist in banking and bank reconciliation
  9. Assist in filing for RFMS and AP functions.
  10. Ability to audit and reconcile accounts and reports.
  11. Run reports out of the RFMS system, as assigned.
  12. Other reasonably related duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

  1. High School degree or GED and 2 years related experience is required
  2. Two years college degree in a business or accounting related field is preferred

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  1. Basic bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
  2. Strong analytical and organizational skills
  3. Ability to work independently with attention to details
  4. Strong interpersonal skills
  5. Strong data entry and computer skills essential, including but not limited to MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  6. Ability to quickly learn new applications including data entry and report running.
  7. Ability to audit and reconcile accounts and reports.

  • The employee must be able to travel off-site to local banks and program locations.
