Sharp-Long 72 Degrees is a reputable home comfort services company in Lees Summit, MO. We are dedicated to providing top-notch services to our clients. As we continue to grow, we seek an Accounting and Data Clerk to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations, contributing to enhanced performance and decision-making across the company.

Main Task: The primary responsibility of the accounting and data clerk is to support our financial operations by ensuring that accounting and financial tasks are executed accurately and promptly.

Pay: $20.00 an hour

Key Tasks:

• Ensure timely and accurate billing of customers.
• Process bills accurately and promptly.
• Handle staff payroll processing.
• Manage install paperwork, warranty claims, and other related documents.
• Reconcile bank statements monthly.
• Maintain the accuracy of Balance Sheet accounts through monthly reconciliation.
• Complete month-end close accurately and within deadlines.
• Match Purchase Orders with packing slips and vendor statements for accuracy.
• Reconcile Supplier Statements for accuracy.
• Enter all Credit Card transactions and reconcile Credit Card statements monthly.
• Track Credits for Warranty returns.
• Maintain Accounts Payable Report for accuracy.
• Properly account for prepaid expenses and recognize them in the correct periods.
• Assist with other company tasks as needed.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Highly organized and process-driven with exceptional follow-through abilities.
• In-depth understanding of debit and credit accounting processes.
• Thorough attention to detail with a commitment to on-time delivery.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
