The role of a field agent is to facilitate the activation of new subscribers, including educating new subscribers to details about their services, plans, new device, and other relevant information. This work is done primarily outdoors at tent sites that are set up according to state and federal regulations. Agents are expected to gain a full working knowledge of the Lifeline and Affordable Connectivity Programs. Agents are also expected to gain a full working knowledge of the state and federal regulations that pertain to their operations and participation in LL and ACP programs as field agents. They are also expected to gain full knowledge and understanding of internal policies and procedures and perform their work in accordance with those. Agents are entrusted with device inventory for the purposes of their work and held accountable for the safety of that inventory until handed over to a properly activated subscriber or returned to the main office. Agents may also be asked to participation arranging for new sites in which to setup tents depending on the area in which they work. Agents are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours each week with a preference for 30-40 hours preferably.
