Summary

The Delivery Driver Delivers products and goods safely and efficiently to customers within a set timeframe and ensures the proper handling and delivery of products while maintaining High standards of customer care. The Delivery Driver does daily routes that can be up to 6-12 hours a day on the road and is responsible for driving a van or a lighter vehicle to deliver products, as well as executing loading duties. The ideal candidate is preferably based in Greenfield CA as this position will cover Northern / Southern California.

Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Collect payments from customers, and follow company protocols for counting out, storing, and transporting currency.
  • Ensure all Payments are turned in to the designated person/location and or vault
  • Operate company vehicle safely and within all state and local guidelines.
  • Load and unload product into company vehicles
  • Ensure timely delivery of products according to schedule using predetermined routes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Follow the rules and regulations of the road at all times
  • Keep an accurate record of any refused product
  • Communicate with the Logistics Coordinator / Manager daily regarding product needs and discrepancies
  • Request invoices and transfer document revisions as required
  • Verify that all assigned orders are loaded and prepared with the corresponding invoices, manifests, and Metrc Tags
  • Ensure all orders and products match the order before leaving
  • Serve a customer service role by representing the company whenever making deliveries
  • Follow Department of Transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Review deliveries with customers and ensure all product Is accounted For
  • Record the customer's payment method, the amount paid, date, name, and customer signature for each delivery and payment pick-up
  • Call customers at least 30 minutes out to confirm the delivery
  • Unload and load cross-dock in to the vehicle
  • Assist with daily cross-dock transfer and manufacturing pickups as requested
  • Report vehicle mileage, routine maintenance, and service requests in Samsara
  • Report any accidents or vehicle Issues to Manager
  • Load, unload, prepare, Inspect, maintain, and operate the delivery vehicle
  • Organize and maintain staged orders and delivery distribution area
  • Other duties as assigned
