Character of Position

Morrell Group and Womack Machine Supply, leading companies in the system integration and distribution of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, electronic, and electric products and systems, are expanding their team to include an individual responsible for sales growth and management of their application team for the electrification of mobile/off-highway equipment.

*This position will require 50-60% travel*

Responsibilities

  • Provide innovative controls solutions and support to our existing sales staff to promote the development and growth of our mobile electrification and controls products
  • Build relationships through consultative selling of high tech electronic and hydraulic products and services by working with our mobile/off-highway customers to assess and solve their electrification application needs
  • Plan and perform key customer sales calls, assess customer needs, prepare customer proposals, close orders, and follow up on all related activities
  • Inform customers of available products by anticipating their needs and introducing new products
  • Direct and oversee the activities of our controls and electrification software engineering department
  • Provide guidance to the team by, prioritizing key projects and developments and assisting them in maintaining the policies and management required by our Bosch Rexroth mobile solutions partner status
  • Develop a deeper knowledge of Morrell and Womack products on a continuous basis by attending related training sessions to enhance sales and presentation skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Controls or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Technical school degree or two year degree may be considered

Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in controls or electrical engineering
  • Minimum of one year experience in team management/leadership

  • Self-motivated, high-energy individual who possesses excellent relationship skills and technical automation problem solving capabilities
  • Strong technical background coupled with the desire for a people-oriented position, a strong professional and technical drive
  • Interest in using technical knowledge and relationship building skills to learn off-highway machine applications
  • Ability to evaluate product applications, assist customers with product scope, technical description, proposals, and project management
  • Ability to work independently, possessing excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to travel to off-site businesses and customer locations
  • C and Codesys programming language proficiency
