Dunaway is in search of a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for our Farmersville office.

WHAT YOU’ll BE DOING:

In this role you will be leading efforts to complete the drafting and design of water and wastewater infrastructure including conveyance utilities, pump stations, lift stations, and water wells and coordinating with local/state regulatory agencies for permitting or funding purposes. You will perform assignments designed to develop professional knowledge, enhance client relationships, and apply standard engineering principles to execute projects from design through the completion of construction.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Prepare/Review reports, specifications, and construction plans for projects as requested across the LOB
  • Assist in the administration, interpretation, and implementation of contracts.
  • Serve as the client contact and internal contact for execution of the project deliverable
  • Utilize Dunaway standards, SOPs and training materials to align with the client deliverable.
  • Perform design calculations to verify conformance with applicable codes and project scope.
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Assist with overseeing technical staff and resource scheduling for each project.
  • Coordinate with client contacts to gather data and align project needs.
  • Initiating the QA/QC process for projects
  • Manage project construction administration tasks including submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, and occasional project site visits.
  • Coordinate with outside parties on project including regulatory agencies, subconsultants, owner representatives, etc.
  • Present project findings and deliverable to clients in a formal or non-formal setting.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Bluebeam

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or ability to become a Licensed Professional Engineer within six (6) months of starting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing public utility plans and specifications

SKILLS:

  • Solid understanding of water/wastewater utility design, CAD/BIM production, engineering design software, construction plans, and regulatory permitting.
  • Solid understanding of project life cycle
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate project tasks as needed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with a team or independently as needed
  • Ability to make design decisions and manage risk with limited oversight.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10 years of prior civil engineering experience
