General Summary of Position:

Responsible for daily equipment safety, review and maintenance, and safe operation of construction equipment on underground utility or grading projects. May involve some manual labor on tasks not associated with equipment operation as required by the project.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Basic knowledge of jobsite safety requirements and necessary precautions

Experience operating heavy construction equipment

Knowledge of equipment maintenance requirements

Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy civil and underground utilities

Motivated and dependable

General Work Environment:

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment

Regular exposure to below ground operations and conditions

Regular exposure to outside construction conditions and inclement weather including heat and humidity

Exposure to loud noises

Regularly working around fast moving vehicles
