Avenues Recovery at Prince Frederick, MD is seeking to hire Nurses!

Avenues Recovery Center in Prince Frederick, MD is a unique community-based Residential treatment facility that's truly customized to the needs and unique circumstances of each individual. With our team of skilled medical and clinical professionals, Avenues Recovery offers first class treatment and recovery.


We are now hiring PRN registered nurses and licensed practical nurses for all shifts.

Primary Focus: The primary focus of this position is to support the delivery of medical care in the scope of substance use treatment by executing all nursing protocols as set forth by the facility medical providers and medical director.


Duties include but are not limited to, providing quality clinical care throughout the assessment and treatment processes, and assisting the providers when necessary.

  • Communication and collaboration with extended treatment team is critical.
  • Escalate all clinical insight and recommendation for follow up by primary therapist.
  • Medical is required to inform clinical and resident staff of issues that require monitoring or potential side effects.
  • Complete nursing shift report and follow up and accountability on previous nursing shift report directives and medical concerns communicated by clinical or support staff.
  • Collaborate with Utilization Review Team for clarification on patient medical presentation.
  • Follow up on labs and escalate any urgent to provider attention.
  • Provide patient education in both individual and group settings.
  • Ensure all assessments, nursing screens, nursing shift notes, consults, vitals, med pass, informed consents, rapid drug screens results, and lab confirmations are documented in the EMR (KIPU).
  • Audit Medication logs.
  • Maintain medical department patient tracker.

Qualifications:

High school diploma

LPN license in MD

Psych and addiction experience preferred
