As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Tactical Missile Design Engineer to join our team.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced (minimum 5 years) Tactical Missile Design Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, development, and qualification of advanced solid rocket motor missiles for a variety of programs and applications. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to innovate and optimize technologies related to the complete system.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and analysis of missile components, assemblies, and complete systems.
  • Collaborate with propulsion, materials, and structural engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Conduct numerical simulations and analyses to optimize motor performance, including thrust, burn rate, and pressure profiles.
  • Perform laboratory and ground-based testing of prototypes.
  • Evaluate and implement advanced manufacturing techniques when/where applicable.
  • Contribute to the development of testing procedures and safety protocols.
  • Document design processes, results, and findings for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in solid propulsion technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience and a strong background in solid rocket motor design, analysis, and testing.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools for simulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with propulsion system integration and optimization.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing and advanced materials is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety in all stages of design and testing.
