A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUILDING MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

As a Building Maintenance Supervisor, you are entrusted with the important responsibility of keeping our residential and commercial properties in tip-top shape. Each day you inspect our buildings and grounds, identifying small issues before they become big problems. Attentive to detail, you note the condition of drywall, carpentry, paint, and lighting and create a plan to address areas of concern. A self-motivated go-getter, you pick up the supplies needed to complete preventative maintenance jobs and work orders.

Every day brings something new, and you like the challenge of performing a range of electrical, painting, and HVAC tasks. Your excellent troubleshooting and mechanical skills come in handy as you repair appliances, replace alarms, and fix plumbing issues. Handy with power tools, you efficiently lay flooring, install locks, and handle minor carpentry jobs. You also keep an eye on the walkways and grounds, ensuring that the property is tidy and well-kept. You take pride in keeping our buildings beautiful and safe for residents!

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma OR equivalent
• 2+ years of maintenance experience
• Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and manuals
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including bending, crawling, working in extreme weather, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A BUILDING MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

This position has a schedule of Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. There is also a 1-week on-call rotation every 2 months.
