A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GENERAL MANAGER

As a GM, you are the cornerstone of our business as you supervise, market, staff, and run the store. Using your excellent interpersonal skills, you manage hiring by sorting through job applications, interviewing the most promising applicants, and deciding who would be the best fit for the store. You also implement proper training for new and current employees. Alongside other team members, you provide excellent customer service to our guests.

Additionally, you manage a variety of administrative and bookkeeping tasks. You work to maximize sales and profits, making adjustments to the store's processes and operations as necessary. With your strong organizational skills, you handle scheduling, putting each team member on the schedule according to their individual availability. You also prepare ingredients for baking and decorating, as well as operate an oven and bake the sweets. With close attention to detail, you decorate cookies and cakes with a wide variety of templates. You love leading your store to success!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A GENERAL MANAGER

• 18+ years of age
• 2+ years of retail or food service management experience
• 2+ years of customer service experience

College education and experience with cake decorating are preferred but not required! Are you a team player? Can you manage a variety of tasks at once? Are you extremely organized? Do you pay close attention to detail? Can you provide excellent customer service? If yes, you might just be perfect for this food service management position!

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A GENERAL MANAGER

This retail GM position is full-time and typically works 45 - 50 hours per week. The shifts will be a mix of opening, daytime, and closing shifts.
