Summary of Position:

This Superintendent, I&E supervises the daily district measurement, automation and I&E activities through Foremen and their crews. This position is responsible for the safe, effective, and economic installation, operation and maintenance of oil and gas automation, measurement, and electrical equipment operations across the assigned region.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the production team and other departments to ensure the workplace is safe and environmentally compliant.
  • Supervise foremen across the assigned regions.
  • Oversee the operation of local field offices including invoice flow.
  • Ensure the proper operation of assigned equipment at multi well Central Tank Batteries.
  • Coordinate as necessary with well servicing, completion, engineering, drilling, materials, frac and HSE groups.
  • Responsible for production level efficiencies, including both cost and production volumes.
  • Recommend and implement maintenance and cost reduction programs.
  • Recommend changes in operations and work with the Manager and engineering on implementing changes.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with surface owners and community leaders.
  • Works closely with facility engineers on new facility designs. Brings operational experience in planning meetings.
  • Commission new facilities, ready for start-up and handover. This includes mechanical completion validation along with automation, instrument, electrical, rotating equip and safety equipment commissioning.
  • Accountable for performance results of assigned area including production support and EHS. Provides lessons learned and design/SOP feedback to planning, development, well engineering group and facilities groups.
  • Develops and manages to area forecasts and budgets.
  • Provides performance management continuous skill development opportunities for direct reports.
  • Build effective internal and external relationships.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Strategic planner, setting forward looking vision for the department and company.
  • Superior knowledge of 1/3 disciplines, Advanced working knowledge of 2/3 disciplines.
  • Develops plans and processes at an organizational level.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to mentor junior teammates.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Organizes and oversees the schedules, work, and productivity of the team.
  • Manages their departments efficiently and in accordance with departmental goals.
  • In accordance with policy and with the support of the department head, makes hiring and selection decisions for staffing.
  • Provides performance feedback and completes evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • With the assistance of HR and the department head, handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Education & Experience:

  • 10+ years experience in oil & gas.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Proven leader.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel required to the Civitas field locations.
