I am a business owner looking for someone to help me manage my work-life balance. I consider myself to be a fun, happy and motivated person who enjoys being around people.

As my business has grown, I no longer have the capacity to manage many aspects of my work and personal life. I am looking for an organized person to handle these responsibilities in a similar way they would for themselves. I have no kids or pets but do value the experience of a parent or caretaker. You would also work with my other Personal Assistant who has experience in this role as well.

Your personality and communication skills are more relevant to me than professional experience. Since we will be spending a lot of time together, the in-person interview will be a good opportunity for you to determine if I am a good fit for you as well.

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Daily
    • Tidy and organize house (30 minutes)
    • Light vacuuming (30 minutes)
    • Wash dishes, empty and reload the dishwasher, put away dishes (30 minutes)
    • Make the bed & tidy up the bedrooms (20 minutes)
    • Tidy up the bathrooms (wipe down sink etc.) (20 minutes)
    • Take out trash (5 minutes)
    • Bring in the mail, and open and unload packages (5 minutes)
  • Weekly
    • Light cooking and meal prep (4 hours)
    • 6-8 loads of laundry (2 hours)
    • Order food from InstaCart (30 minutes)
    • Hang and put away dry cleaning (10 minutes)
    • Light dusting (15 minutes)
    • Maintain calendars (1 hour)
  • Monthly
    • Change sheets every other week (30 minutes)
    • Prepare family and friends birthday cards, gifts, and other anniversaries (1 hour)
  • As needed
    • Book personal appointments (doctor, hair, etc.)
    • Schedule and take car for routine cleaning and maintenance
    • Schedule and booking house maintenance (lawn care, exterior house cleaning, etc.)
    • Book travel
    • Pack and organize for travel
    • Organize trips and social events
    • Coordinate reservations
    • Place orders to restock household items when needed
  • Other duties as required

Our ideal candidate has a fun personality, likes routine and structure, and is very organized. You like to maintain a calendar of things to do and important events, and are able to keep track of everything that needs done. You enjoy running a household, including cooking, light cleaning, and keeping things organized. You look for opportunities to create a relaxing and cozy home life for your work environment, and for me to come back to at the end of my work day.

Your work hours will be 8:30a-5:30p Monday through Friday, with some evenings and weekends as needed (but never more than 40 hours a week), with occasional travel as needed (a few times per year).

This is not a remote position, the work location is Parkton, Maryland with occasional trips to Towson, Maryland.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and comfortable driving a different vehicle
  • Availability to travel on occasion (airfare and hotel, meals are provided by employer)
  • Basic computer skills - Windows, Outlook, Word, Basic Excel
  • Availability to work as-needed evenings and weekends (would be able to leave early or come in late on weekdays to offset the hours)
