Are you ready to step into a pivotal role as our Receiving Supervisor? We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to take the helm of our receiving operations and drive success in our dynamic environment.

As the Receiving Supervisor, you'll oversee a diverse range of activities, ensuring materials are received efficiently, inventory documentation is meticulously maintained, and departmental objectives are achieved through actionable tasks. You'll be instrumental in implementing Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives, adapting to changing business needs, and fostering effective communication across departments.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enforce adherence to company policies and standards among team members.
  • Assess staffing requirements and provide comprehensive training and motivation.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to address non-conformance and quality issues.
  • Establish and monitor productivity goals, addressing variances effectively.
  • Champion safety and housekeeping efforts to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Develop the supervisory skills of team members and coach them for success.
  • Facilitate clear communication across operations, support groups, and management.
  • Monitor team performance, implement action plans, and recognize superior performance.
  • Apply expertise in processes, equipment, and system capabilities to set and maintain standards.
  • Manage costs effectively; ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health, & Safety regulations.
  • Oversee all receiving operations, promptly addressing any challenges and communicating with the Operations Director.
  • Identify and propose solutions to inventory-related issues, ensuring accurate product receipt and documentation.

Position Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing/warehouse operations.
  • Driven by metrics and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Possess high integrity, ethics, and flexibility to work weekends as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • People-oriented leadership style with a background in lean manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to conduct training sessions effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals are preferred.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

  • Regular communication with team members via various methods.
  • Sedentary work with occasional standing and walking.
  • Ability to effectively speak, hear, and see.
  • Visual acuity is required for tasks such as data analysis and reading.
