The Big Picture

Valley View Baptist Church (www.facebook.com/ValleyViewBaptistChurch353/) is seeking a full-time Pastor who is committed to preaching the Word of God and shepherding the Body of Christ.

The Church

Valley View Baptist Church is an independent, Bible Believing Baptist Church. It was founded in 1980, with our church building built in 1988. We preach and teach from the King James Bible, but we are not a King James ‘only’ church. We currently have a congregation of approximately 60. With a strong focus on Missions, we currently are supporting 20 missionaries and Christian organizations. Two of which are our own missionaries from Valley View. The services at Valley View Baptist are traditional. In addition to Morning worship service and Sunday School, we offer weekly Wednesday night Bible Study and Prayer, Weekly Ladies Exercise and Bible Study/ Ministry, WOL Teens, Children’s Ministry, VBS, Monthly campfire/fireside fellowship, Provide help/teach with Cattaraugus County Bible Club, Provide space and volunteers for monthly Food Pantry.

The Community

Our church is located just south of the village of Little Valley, New York. Little Valley is a rural community in the Southern Tier of Western New York State, about 1 ½ hours east of Erie, PA and 1 ½ hours south of Buffalo, NY. The town population is approximately 1,700. Half our congregation is from the village and town of Little Valley, the remainder travel from the surrounding communities. We enjoy four seasons of weather each with there own outdoor activities with state parks, lakes, walking/hiking trails, camping, resorts etc. close by.

The Qualifications

We are looking for a man with a Bible College Degree, with some pastoral experience, an ordained minister, or willing to be ordained. In addition to being a sound Bible teacher, a qualified candidate should have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. A man with a burden for lost people, with qualities of compassion and graciousness. A potential pastor should fulfill the scriptural qualifications for an elder as stated in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
