Maintenance Technician II

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician (also known as Equipment Repair Specialist, Maintenance Mechanic), you will perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance. This includes observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem, dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, examining parts to detect imperfections, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, and repairing and/or replacing defective parts. You may also be required to operate multiple machining operations such as lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts, and perform welding tasks.

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Ability to analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• Willingness to travel may be required.
