Looking for Mil-Spec Painters
1st shift - 6am to 2:30pm - Monday - Friday
$44k or more per year
Will perform journey-level surface preparation and application of primers, paint topcoat, and similar products on aluminum, stainless steel, steel, plastic and other machined or fabricated parts for military or aerospace manufactures.
GENERAL INFORMATION
This job involves the; exposure to solvents and paint fumes, exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing personnel protection equipment when necessary; Requires frequent bending, moving, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 90 pounds.
Painting. Typical responsibilities: Assures that the correct primer and coating materials are in date (age control) and are mixed properly, Assures that spray equipment is properly selected and maintained for applying all coatings; Assures that the department is clean and organized, and aids in general clean-up of work area; Cleans and maintains spray equipment, and related equipment; Stores paint inventory in an organized manner using a first in, first out procedure and that opened containers are sealed and stored properly; assists other personnel performing their duties; responds to emergencies.
